Oman’s Al Raid Group has confirmed that its under-construction Al Araimi Boulevard mall will be completed in time for a September opening.
With a gross built area of 155,427sq m, split over two levels, and a leasable area of 70,500sq m, Al Araimi Boulevard aims to raise the bar in Oman’s retail space.
Oman’s retail market is becoming increasingly competitive with several developers vying for consumers hungry for ‘destination’ shopping experiences. Rival operator Landmark Group announced the expansion of Oasis Mall into Sohar and Salalah earlier in the year.
Al Araimi Boulevard will house attractions consisting of 170 retail shops including a hypermarket and 10 anchor stores, a family entertainment centre, a 10-screen cinema complex and a food court.
Al Araimi Boulevard is expected to generate more than 2,000 direct and indirect job opportunities to the local workforce, according to Sheikh Raid Abdullah Al Araimi, Vice Chairman of Al Raid Group.
